Fine Arts

The CCHS FINE Arts Department consists of six outstanding teachers offering the following disciplines:

Visual arts taught by Fran Brown and Bill McKinney
CCHS bands and instruments taught by Ken Rudd
Choral music taught by Dottie Tippett
Dance taught by Jennifer Schexnayder
Drama taught by Lonnie Billard
Photography taught by Joann Keane

Through these creative classes, students have the opportunities to hone their individual skills and participate in CCHS’s many extra-curricular activities such as:

Fall Play: acting, stage crew, sound and lighting crew
Dance Team: performing at football and basketball games
CCHS Marching Band: marching at football games and in Ireland in March 2011
Auditioning for regional clinics and competitions
Glee Club and Barbershop quartets: performing at community events
Singing at all school masses, participating in choral clinics and competitions
Enter outstanding work to Scholastic Arts Competition and other regional art competitions

Spring Broadway musical in April, 2011: audition for acting/singing/dancing roles, stage crew, designing the set, painting the set, participating in the “musical band”.
