To provide awareness about cancer and offer support to those with cancer and the family friends of those
who suffer from this disease.

Dedicated to fun and laughter, this club will make comedic videos and is open to all interested in comedy
and videography.

Those who have found chemistry fun and are interested in going further with this science. Students
will do labs and projects for national competitions.

assisting all of God’s creatures!
Crisis Assistance open to all Mrs. Toguchi # 200
This service club focuses on holding clothing drives to donate to the agency who helps the needy and
homeless throughout the Charlotte area. They will take monthly trips to sort clothes and donations.

Diversity Club open to all Mrs. Rhykerd #302
This club emphasizes awareness for various nationalities and ethnic groups especially through their
cultures & art & get involved with the City of Charlotte diversity programs. Open to all, regardless of
heritage or national origin. It’s a great way to get to know other cultures and make new friends.
Dream Team open to all Mr. Sherman #511/ Mrs. Keane# 317
Jrs and Srs who have volunteered to be role models to their peers by educating the students of MACS on the
dangers of drugs, alcohol and tobacco (DAT). Students will be asked to sign a pledge to remain drug free.

“Encountering Christ by Helping Others” is this service club! A variety of projects are offered & members
should be willing to attend a project at least once a month. Habitat for Humanity, Catherine’s Helpers and
more are offered under this Club!
Environmental Club open to all Mrs. Albertson #325
This club handles recycling efforts at CCHS and has adopted some of McMullen Creek for the Big Sweep
each year. Funds raised also promote awareness for various missions in Zambia which also promotes
good stewardship of resources and education in developing regions.

Liturgical Ministries open to all MJ Dawson, Campus Ministry
Students apply to serve as Lectors, Altar Servers and Ministers of Holy Communion for all of our school
masses and prayer services. Students will be notified of training!
Model UN open to all Mrs. Pendleton #214
This international organization is designed to enhance participants’ knowledge of global issues. Students
participate in “mock” United Nations simulations and represent other countries’ issues which offers
awards!
Operation Smile open to all Mr. David Smith #225
This organization of doctors travel to third world countries to correct children with cleft lips or palates.
Our main function is support through fundraisers and bring awareness of this need to others.
Outdoor Club open to all Mr.. McMorris #526/
Our Club is for those students who enjoy the outdoors such as hiking,, camping, climbing, skiing and more
5-6 trips are planned throughout the year; some day trips and some overnight.. Possibilities are endless!
Peer Mentors open to all MJ Dawson, Campus Ministry
Know what it’s like to be a new student...help others as they arrive at CCHS. Peer Mentors are assigned
by grade level and asked to offer a tour, have lunch with and basically orient new students to CCHS.

agencies and attend March for Life in Washington.

activities designed to help get out and vote, educate voters and support our troops.
