Curriculum Course Placement & Selection
- 9th grade courses: Course placement for 9th graders is based on the middle school grades, High School Placement test results and any other records from middle school
- Upperclassman placement into classes is determined by the current teacher in each subject area, based on the student’s performance, department prerequisites and teacher recommendation. Students are encouraged to initiate conversations with their current teachers about classes for the next year.
- Prerequisites can be found in the Curriculum Guide.
- Some AP and Honors classes require students to apply for them and sit for an assessment. Please see required assessment dates below and visit the Honors and AP Course Forms and Procedures dropdowns to the left.
