Mrs. Floriani is excited to be joining the Learning Support Team here at Charlotte Catholic High School. She is the Options Program teacher and coordinator. She earned her MA in Special Education at Kean University in New Jersey. This is her 18th year teaching students with Special Needs. Prior to coming to Charlotte Catholic, Mrs. Floriani taught in Union County (NC),  New Jersey, and Connecticut. Originally from New Jersey, she and her family moved to Charlotte 16 years ago and absolutely love living in the area.

Mrs. Buchan is a member of the Options Department and is assisting Mrs. Floriani with her classes and students. Mrs. Buchan’s joy of children and education led her to direct a childcare and development program with a staff of 10 professionals and over 95 students.

Originally from Georgia, she moved to South Carolina with her family in 1987.

Mrs. Buchan has two grown children, and 3 beautiful granddaughters. She is currently focusing her avocational energy on two charming and precocious young great-granddaughters.

Mrs. Buchan loves working with young people and earnestly maintains that it keeps her young and energetic.
