College Exploration Program (CEP)

CCHS is excited to announce an opportunity for students to participate in a program designed to assist in their career discernment through the new CCHS Career Exploration Program (CEP). This pilot program is specifically targeted to the Class of 2026.  We are also pleased to share that Anne Runkle, a former CCHS teacher, will be serving as the Director of the CEP.

The CEP aims to provide students with unique hands-on experience to help them discover potential career paths they may want to take in college and beyond. In this Program students will:

  • Identify and prepare for shadow opportunities during the second semester of 2025
  • Participate in workplace shadow opportunities during the summer before Senior year
  • Present their experiences in the fall of 2025


The program will include:

  • College and Career Readiness Training: Enhancing skills like resume writing, interview preparation and workplace etiquette.
  • Internship Opportunities: Partnering with local businesses and organizations to offer real-world work shadowing experiences.
  • Public Speaking: Presenting the results of their shadow opportunities to Administration and fellow students.

Participation in this program will not only help students gain valuable skills and insights but will also strengthen their college and job applications.

Additional Information:

Students and parents are invited to an information session on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 7PM in the CCHS library to learn more about the program, including the application process, timeline, and requirements. We encourage you and your student to attend this session to learn more and get answers to any questions you may have.
