College Exploration Program (CEP) 

Class of 2026 Pilot Program 

CCHS is excited to share the results of the Class of 2026 CCHS Career Exploration Pilot Program.  This Pilot was designed to give students an opportunity to participate in a program designed to help them discover potential career paths to pursue in college and beyond. 

The Pilot provided students with unique hands-on experience: 

  • Students participated in workshops designed to prepare them for shadow experiences including networking, professional etiquette, informational interviews and presentation skills. 

  • Each student created a Resume for use in obtaining shadow experiences and in the college application process. 

  • Student experiences will be shared at the Career Exploration Showcase scheduled for October 17, 2025 in the CCHS Library 7:45 am- noon.  All are welcome! 

  • Thanks to our 2025 Shadow Hosts: Choreo Advisors, Club Car, ESPN, Kimberli’s Place, Little Diversified Architectural Consultants, LPL Financial, Meaningful Movement, Perkins & Will, Sealed Air, Spectrum Eye Care, Wells Fargo, WCNC and Zapata Inc. 

 
Class of 2027 Career Exploration Program 

As a result of the success of the Pilot, CCHS will offer the CEP to students from the Class of 2027! 

The CEP will continue to include: 

  • College and Career Readiness Training: Enhancing skills like resume writing, interview preparation and workplace etiquette. 

  • Shadow Opportunities: Partnering with local businesses and organizations to offer real-world work shadowing experiences. 

  • Public Speaking: Presenting the results of their shadow opportunities to Administration and fellow students. 

Participation in this program will not only help students gain valuable skills and insights but will also strengthen their college and job applications.

We will share more information in the coming weeks about the program. In the interim, if you and or your company are interested in hosting a CCHS student to shadow at your company, please contact Anne Runkle:  Amrunkle@charlottecatholic.org or fill out the Sponsorship Interest Form.
