Career Exploration Program (CEP)

Class of 2027 

CCHS is excited to share the continued success of the Career Exploration Program, now in its second year, with the Class of 2027. Originally launched as a pilot, this program was designed to give students the opportunity to explore potential career paths and make more informed decisions about their futures in college and beyond.

Now in its second year, the program has expanded and evolved, continuing to provide students with unique, hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world applications. Through this initiative, students gain valuable insight into a variety of professions while developing skills that will support their future academic and career pursuits.

  • Students participate in workshops designed to prepare them for shadow experiences including networking, professional etiquette, informational interviews and presentation skills. 

  • Each student created a Resume for use in obtaining shadow experiences and in the college application process. 

  • Student experiences will be shared at the Career Exploration Showcase scheduled for Fall 2026 in the CCHS Library 7:45 am- noon.  All are welcome! Exact date will be announced at a future time

 Class of 2028 Career Exploration Program 

As a result of the program’s continued success, CCHS is pleased to expand the Career Exploration Program (CEP) to students in the Class of 2028.

The CEP will continue to include: 

  • College and Career Readiness Training: Enhancing skills like resume writing, interview preparation and workplace etiquette. 

  • Shadow Opportunities: Partnering with local businesses and organizations to offer real-world work shadowing experiences. 

  • Public Speaking: Presenting the results of their shadow opportunities to Administration and fellow students. 

Participation in this program will not only help students gain valuable skills and insights but will also strengthen their college and job applications.

Additional Information

We will share additional information about the program during the Fall 2026 semester. In the meantime, if you or your organization are interested in hosting a CCHS student for a job shadowing experience, please contact Jessica Hall:  jmhall@charlottecatholic.org or fill out the Sponsorship Interest Form. 

If you are a Class of 2028 CCHS student interested in participating in the program, please note that the application will open in the fall. Additional details, including the application timeline and requirements, will be shared at that time. Students will be required to log in to their Charlotte Catholic email account to access the application form.
