Meet the Mathematics Department
Mrs. Libby Learner - Department Head
Libby Lerner has taught math at CCHS since 1999 and served as Math Department Chairperson since 2002. She earned her BA in Secondary Education - Mathematics at Clemson University and MA in Educational Psychology at Eastern Michigan University.

Mr. Timothy Galarde- Department Head
Mr. Galarde is a member of the Math department and has been teaching since 2010. He holds a BA from the University of Akron and an MBA and MSOM from Pfeiffer University.

Ms. Jean Adamian
After a storied series of work experiences in CMS, the banking industry, and a local music studio, Jean Adamian came to Charlotte Catholic High School in August of 2002 and found her home. Ms. Adamian has taught mathematics (with a side of English), coached the flag football team, and been the advisor of the Catholic Social Justice Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and Hands for Hearts Club over the course of the years.

Mrs. Denise Bier
Mrs. Bier joined the Charlotte Catholic faculty in 2006. She currently teaches Honors Calculus and AP Calculus. Mrs. Bier is the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse Coach.

Ms. Janet Fort
Ms. Fort has been teaching math for 25+ years. She currently teaches Honors Precalculus and Honors Geometry. Ms. Fort also directs the school's Mock Trial Program and Moot Court Program. She holds JD and MBA degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill and a BS degree in math from Wake Forest University.

Mr. Evan Georges
Mr. Georges is a member of the Math Department. He teaches Geometry and Advanced Geometry.

Mrs. Krissanne Lynch
Math teacher Krisanne Lynch has been teaching at Charlotte Catholic since 2012. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics from Colorado State University. She also earned a teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics. Mrs. Lynch taught in Colorado, Missouri and Nebraska before moving to Charlotte.

Mrs. Christine Montione
Christine Montione teaches Advanced Algebra 2 and Advanced Precalculus. She has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Her family became a part of the MACS community beginning in 2005 and her two children are alumni of CCHS. Following a career in engineering for Entenmanns, Duracell and Gillette and experience as a math tutor, Mrs. Montione joins CCHS driven by her commitment to continuous learning and sincere desire to equip students for success in their future endeavors.

Mrs. Joanne Winters
Joanne Winters joined the Math department at Charlotte Catholic in 2004. Originally from New York City, she hold a BS degree in Mathematics/Economics from Fordham University and MS degree in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire. Mrs. Winters began her working life in banking but has been teaching in various settings since 1987. She is the proud mother of four CCHS alumni and is blessed to work with awesome colleagues, fabulous students, and supportive families.
