Social Studies

The Social Studies Department follows a curriculum that provides students the opportunity to gain knowledge, cultivate methods of inquiry, and develop critical thinking skills that will prepare them for their college studies. Additionally, as Catholic educators we recognize the call to develop responsive citizens who are able to identify sound Christian values within the society they live. Understanding the past will enable our students to reach a fuller understanding of the present and allow them to use Christian values to shape the world’s future. The ultimate goal of Social Studies education at Charlotte Catholic is to prepare students to make significant contributions to society in ways that will reflect Catholic social values.
