Inaugural 2026 Honor Band Clinic

The Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Band Program is pleased to announce the inaugural MACS Honor Band Clinic! Beginning Friday afternoon, February 27th, select middle and high school students from fivve of our MACS schools will come together in the MACS Fine Arts Center (FAC) located at Charlotte Catholic High School for an enriching weekend of music-making.

Their efforts will culminate in a final concert to be held on Saturday, February 28th at 2:30PM in the FAC Theater.

Participating students will be placed into one of two ensembles by grade level. The middle school band (grades 7-8) will be conducted by Mr. Jacob Bohan, and include students representing Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School, and St. Mark Catholic School. Our guest conductor, Dr. Kristen Jeri will lead the High School Band (grades 9-12) composed of students from Charlotte Catholic High School and Christ the King Catholic High School. Dr. Jeri is the Assistant Band Director and Instructor of Music at Winthrop University (more information in Guest Conductor). We are so fortunate to have Dr. Jeri with us for this year’s clinic! 

There is a $20 non-refundable registration fee for each student participant due Friday, January 9th.  The fee may be paid under the band category at the Charlotte catholic school store.

Participants are required to attend all clinic events in their entirety. Clinic music will be distributed to students no later than February 20th, and all participants will receive a complimentary MACS Band pin following their performance.
