Coaching Staff

Eddie Hull

Eddie Hull was named the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Charlotte Catholic on May 17th, 2023.  The 2026 season will be Hull's third year as the head of the program.

In his second season at the helm, Hull led the Cougars to a 22-6-1 record.  The Cougars won a share of the Southwestern 4A Conference Title, finishing conference play 11-1.  

In his first season, Hull led Catholic to a 23-10 record in 2024 and its most successful season on the diamond since 1988.  The Cougars finished second in the SW4A regular season, won the conference tournament, and were the 4A West Regional Runner-Ups.

In 2023, Hull was the Head JV Coach and a varsity assistant for the Cougars. Hull led the JV team to a 14-1-1 record in 2023.  In 2022, Hull was a varsity assistant in his first season on staff.

Hull was born and raised in Charlotte. He attended Charlotte Catholic and was a three-year letterman under longtime skipper Randy Belk. Hull was first team All-State in 2012, along with being named the MEGA 7 Conference Player of the Year. Hull played one year of junior college baseball at Louisburg College, followed by three years for the Charlotte 49ers. 

Hull graduated from Charlotte in 2017 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, and he also received an MBA from Wingate University in 2019.

Coach Hull also serves as the Director of Athletics at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School. He previously served as an assistant baseball coach at Queens University of Charlotte, under head coach Ross Steedley.

Hull has coached and done lessons throughout the Charlotte area since graduating from college in 2017. He also owns the Queen City Baseball Club and Eddie Hull Baseball Camps.

Coach Hull lives in Charlotte with his wife, Cassidy, and daughter, Laney.

Chuck Rinehimer

Chuck Rinehimer brings over 20 years of coaching experience to Charlotte Catholic.  The 2026 season will be Rinehimer's 12th season at Catholic.  Rinehimer is the Associate Head Coach.  He works with the hitters, infielders, and coaches third base.

Chuck is from Hazelton, Pa. He played college baseball for the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots from 1994-98. Rinehimer played under Coach Bob Crawford while at OVU and was a three-time All-American as a shortstop in the NSCAA. During his career at OVU, Rinehimer recorded 35 career home runs and a phenomenal career fielding percentage of .982. Chuck was inducted into the Ohio Valley Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.

Coach Rinehimer started his coaching career (2001-2007) at Lewisville HS in South Carolina, where he was a JV head coach and varsity assistant. He then moved onto South Pointe HS in Rock Hill as a varsity assistant in 2008 and 2009. Chuck then got into the collegiate ranks, coaching in the SCBL for the Carolina Sox. The SCBL (Southern Collegiate Baseball League) is a summer wood bat league for high-level college players. He was an assistant in the summer of 2010 for the Sox and took over as the head coach in 2011 and 2012.  He was also a co-owner of the Rock Hill Hitting Facility (RHHF), where he coached both Eddie Hull and Troy Rawls.  

Chuck is a 6th grade math teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School, and resides with his wife, Kelly, and his two sons, Tate and Caleb, in Rock Hill.

Chase Arnold

Chase Arnold is entering his second year as an assistant coach with the Cougars. He will assist in all aspects of our program.  He will coach 1B on gamedays.

Chase grew up in the Charlotte area and attended Charlotte Catholic HS.  He led the Cougars to a conference championship his junior year. He graduated from CCHS in 2013, played one year at IMG Academy, and then went on to play at LaSalle University.

Chase currently works for Pro Sports Team Outfitters and lives in Charlotte.

 

 

Jesse Park

Jesse Park is entering his first year as assistant coach with the Cougars.  He serves as the program's pitching coach.

Coach Park comes to Catholic after spending the past two seasons at his alma mater, Carson High School, in China Grove.

Before his two year stint at Carson, Park coached collegiately at Queens University of Charlotte, Pfeiffer University, and Gardner-Webb University.

Park played collegiately at Pfeiffer University.  He appeared in 28 career games as a left-handed relief pitcher, tossing 35.2 innings of relief for the Falcons.  Park graduated from Pfeiffer in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management.

Coach Park lives in Salisbury with his wife, Olivia, and children Beau and Palmer.

Cory Gantz

Cory Gantz was named an assistant coach at Catholic in the fall of 2022.  Coach Gantz is our Pitching Coordinator.  He serves as our bullpen coach during games and helps coordinate our pitching efforts throughout the year. 

Cory is a native of Lancaster, PA and played collegiately at UNC Wilmington.  Gantz graduated from UNCW in 2017 and currently works in the Charlotte area.  Cory's wife, Beth, graduated from Charlotte Catholic in 2012.  Cory and Beth have a daughter, Margot, and son, Dean.  They live in Lake Wylie.   

 

 

Chris Clare

Chris Clare is entering his third year as an assistant coach with the Cougars. He will work with our hitters and infielders.  He recently finished his professional playing career.

Chris grew up in the Charlotte area and attended Charlotte Catholic HS, where he was a two-time All-Conference selection. He led the Cougars to a conference championship his junior year. He graduated from CCHS in 2013 and went on to star at High Point University. Clare started 151 career games over his three-year career at HPU, hitting .320 with 179 hits and 78 RBIs. Clare was named first team All-Big South his junior year, and then was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round of the 2016 MLB Draft.

Clare played several seasons of minor league baseball, getting as high as AAA with the Norfolk Tides. His lone AAA hit was a home run at Truist Field in Charlotte, while playing back home in front of many family and friends.

Chris works in the software industry and lives in Lancaster, SC.

Michael Osinski

Michael Osinski is entering his second year as an assistant coach with the Cougars.  He will assist in all aspects of our program.

Osinski is a New York state native.  He was a standout at Vestal High School, where he excelled on both the baseball and football fields.  He then came south for college, where he attended Longwood University in Farmville, VA.  He started 161 of 163 career games at shortstop for Longwood.

Osinski was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 31st Round of the 2017 MLB Draft.  He played five seasons with the Red Sox organization, and finished his career with the Gastonia HoneyHunters of the Atlantic League.

During the summers, Osinski serves as an assistant coach on the Queen City Corndogs collegiate team.

 

 

Rob Sisson

Rob Sisson is entering his third year as a member of the coaching staff with the Cougars.  He serves as our Director of Baseball Operations and will assist in all aspects of our program. 

Rob graduated from NC State in 1999, where he majored in Business Management.  He received his Masters in Sports Management from NC State in 2003.  He was an equipment manager with the Wolfpack Baseball team from 1998-2002. 

Rob teaches at Mount Holly Middle School, where he is a business education teacher.  He also spent 19 years coaching baseball at Ashbrook.  Rob lives in Charlotte with his wife, Sheri, and son, RJ, who is an 8th grader at Holy Trinity.

 

 

Mike Hazel

Coach Hazel is the CCHS Strength and Conditioning coach. He works with all sports, with a primary focus on football and baseball. Hazel has been at Catholic since 2016, previously working as a sports performance coach at Duke and ECU.

Hazel graduated from Charlotte Catholic in 2005. Upon graduating from Catholic, he attended East Carolina University where he received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.  Hazel was also a preferred walk on with ECU Football before making the switch to lacrosse.

He also received a Master’s Degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science.

Hazel is currently certified through The National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and also as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach.  He also holds certifications as a Level II Speed and Agility Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist.

Coach Hazel's utilizes TeamBuildr, an app designed to guide athletes through a workout plan, and keeps track of every lift and metric taken in the weight room. Hazel's programs are a dynamic piece to our player development system at Catholic.

Hazel also does private strength and conditioning sessions through his company, Elite Sports Performance, LLC.
