Attendance Policy:
Our attendance policy is that if an athlete misses a practice during the week, they may be removed from the next meet at the coaches discretion. The most important ability an athlete can have is availability. Absences, whether excused or unexcused, will limit an athletes opportunity to compete in meets and/or continue the season with the team.
Excused absences are limited to Doctor's appointments, sick or injured, tutoring, Driver's Ed, or a family emergency. These rules are not put in place to punish athletes but to reinforce the fact that being on this team is a privilege not a punishment. Buy-in is an essential part of our team culture but furthermore, from a safety aspect, ensures that athletes are not putting themselves in a position for an injury to occur.
DragonFly:
Charlotte Catholic will continue to use the DragonFly platform for the 25-26 school year to collect and manage team participation and eligibility. Here are the steps to complete if your athlete is currently ineligible or has not yet signed up:
Step 1: Please visit http://dragonflymax.com/forms/HMWVM5 to set up the parent account.
Step 2: Create a student athlete account/profile for each CCHS student athlete in your family.
Step 3: Begin the process of completing requirements, including uploading pages 3 and 4 of the NCHSAA physical form which are the “Physical Examination Form” and “Medical Eligibility Form”. Both must be signed by your physician. Physicals are valid for 365 days. Visit https://www.nchsaa.org/health-and-safety/ for current forms.
