About Us
A Long Tradition of Proud Support
Since its inception in 1989, the Alumni Association has raised more than $300,000 for the benefit of Charlotte Catholic. In recent years, the Alumni Fund has provided the means for the school to fund:
- An advanced alumni database, computers, printers, digital cameras and software
- A state-of-the-art sound system for the athletic stadium
- A campus-wide security system
- Band uniforms and instruments
- Computers, foreign language and math software, chemistry lab equipment and printing for the literary magazine
- Automation the O'Donoghue Media Center
- A new science lab, including a Weather Center and an AP Physics class
- An activity bus to be used for retreats, service projects and athletics
- An endowment to support the annual Alumni Scholarship awarded to a CCHS senior
- Great traditions such as Career Day, Homecoming, the Alumni Basketball Tournament and Christmas Party, and the Sports Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Award.
- Scholarships and awards for graduating seniors, including the CCHS Alumni Association Scholarship, CCHS Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship, Dottie Tippett Performing Arts Scholarship, St. Joseph the Carpenter Award, Robb Pugh Scholarships, Class of 1989 Memorial Scholarship
The tradition of Cougar Pride is one that has lasted for decades. Young people have represented Charlotte Catholic High School with honor in all endeavors. This pride and dedication of CCHS does not end with graduation. Cougar Alumni continue to support CCHS and its students for years to come!
