Meet the Academic Achievement Team
Mrs. Carolina Figueiras, 11th and 12th Grade
Carolina Figueiras, M.Ed. joined CCHS in 2021, having spent her first 6 professional years as an educator in charter and public schools in Spain, Louisiana, and North Carolina. Her professional experience includes a diverse background of working with individuals with exceptionalities in elementary and secondary education. In addition, Mrs. Figueiras brings experience as English teacher, having earned a master's degree in secondary education with a focus on English. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mrs. Figueiras is devoted to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that empowers students of all abilities to thrive academically and personally.
Mrs. Stephanie Hall, 9th Grade
Stephanie Hall is an Academic Achievement Program Teacher at Charlotte Catholic High School. Mrs.Hall joined CCHS in 2024, after having spent 18 years teaching students with specific learning differences at independent, private and public schools in both Ohio and Charlotte, NC Her professional experience includes a diverse background of working with individuals with exceptionalities in elementary, middle and secondary education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special (K-12) Education with a speciality in Learning Differences from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Mrs. Hall is a proud mom to two CCHS graduates (‘21 and ‘24). She is devoted to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment so all students can reach their full potential.

Mrs. Allie Kunert, 10th Grade
Allie Kunert is an Academic Achievement Program Teacher at Charlotte Catholic High School, where she has served since 2024. Mrs. Kunert is grateful to serve the school community that shaped her own education. She and her two older brothers are all Charlotte Catholic alumni. She earned her undergraduate degree in Education from Queens University of Charlotte, followed by a Master of Education in Literacy (K–12) with a concentration in dyslexia and dysgraphia. Mrs. Kunert is passionate about supporting students and creating a faith-filled environment where every student feels encouraged, valued, and equipped to succeed.

Mrs. Kelsey Black - Test Coordinator
Kelsey Black, M.Ed., is the Academic Achievement Test Coordinator at Charlotte Catholic High School. Mrs. Black joined CCHS in 2019, having spent previous professional years as a Case Manager and as the Department Head of Learning Support at a small private school in Charlotte. Her professional experience includes a diverse background of working with individuals with exceptionalities in elementary, middle, and high school. In addition, Mrs. Black brings experience as an Executive Functioning Coach, having taught courses in metacognition and working memory. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Tampa and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Villanova University.
Mrs. Anne Kalbaugh - Testing
Anne Kalbaugh is a testing proctor at CCHS. She has previously worked at CCHS as an assistant teacher in the Options Program. She also served the MACS system as a substitute teacher for 8 years.
She is the proud mom of 5 CCHS graduates.
