Mrs. Parks was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, where she attended Catholic School from grades K-12. She earned her BA in Child Studies at Santa Clara University and her MA in School Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy at Saint Mary's College of California. Ms. Parks began her career as a School Counselor at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco. In 2010, the Parks returned to her husband's native North Carolina to settle and raise a family. Mrs. Parks has been an active volunteer with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a 2019 Visionary of the Year candidate and LLS Student Visionary of the Year Leadership Team Chair. Outside of counseling students at CCHS, Mrs. Parks loves spending time at the beach with her husband and two children.
