Testing Information
Most colleges require either an SAT or an ACT score for consideration for admission. Both tests are accepted at all schools. Some students do better on one test vs. the other and the only way to know is to take one of each. We recommend juniors take one of each and then take a 3rd test again for whichever one they liked or did better on. The websites for the two testing agencies are:
www.collegeboard.org and www.actstudent.org
As an introduction to the tests, all 9th – 11th graders will take the PSAT in October each year. The PSAT is a preliminary practice test for the SAT, a college admission test. Please see the link to the PSAT PowerPoint for information on how to interpret and utilize the PSAT to prepare for the SAT.
