Charlotte Catholic has earned its first-ever 6A Wells Fargo State Cup, recognizing the top overall athletic program in North Carolina's 6A classification. It is also the ninth Wachovia/Wells Fargo Cup in school history, adding another chapter to a tradition of athletic excellence built over decades.
This achievement belongs to so much more than the teams that brought home championships.
It belongs to every student-athlete who committed to excellence, every coach who inspired and developed young people, every athletic trainer who kept our athletes healthy and ready to compete, every teacher who supported our students in the classroom, every staff member who worked behind the scenes, every parent and family member who sacrificed countless hours, every fan who filled the stands, and every member of the Charlotte Catholic community who proudly wears Cougar red.
Excellence is never the result of one season or one team. It is built through a shared commitment to faith, character, hard work, and a community that believes in something greater than itself.
We are grateful to God for the gifts He has entrusted to our community, for the opportunity to compete with integrity, and for the friendships, perseverance, and lessons that athletics provide. May we always use these blessings to glorify Him in all that we do.
